For the first time, a Polish company has been awarded with the Zukunftspreis Brandenburg 2017 prize for entrepreneurs. Six companies were awarded in the competition, among which the company owned by the Boryszew Group – Boryszew Oberflächentechnik Deutschland GMBHZ. The German facility in Prenzlau manufactures galvanised components for the automotive industry and among its recipients, there are brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Toyota, and Daimler.
The Zukunftspreis Brandenburg 2017 prize is dedicated to the companies operating in the area of Brandenburg and is granted for outstanding achievements in the form of, among others, creative and innovative activities and demonstrating investment skills even in difficult conditions. The prize is granted by the chambers of commerce and craft of the land of Brandenburg.
The jury appreciated the company from the Boryszew Group due to high employment in the economically challenged region and high entrepreneurship. The rebuilding of the plant after the fire in 2015 and quick business resumption also affected the jury decision.
