15/11/2023
Boryszew S.A., one of the largest private industrial groups in Poland, presented the summary for the first half of 2025. In the reported period the Group generated EBITDA net of one-time events of PLN 133 million and net profit of PLN 14 million – less the effect of deconsolidation.
The Automotive segment reported a 15.4% y/y decline in revenues in Q2 ‘2025, to PLN 353 million, mainly due to the de-consolidation of parts of the Boryszew Automotive Plastics (BAP) Group. EBITDA for the same period was PLN 31 million, an increase of 24% y/y. In addition, the remaining German companies will be deconsolidated in the future. The value of new contracts signed in 2025 is EUR 74.6 million. The share of electric and hybrid vehicles in the order book is 53.1%.
Revenues in the Metals Segment in the second quarter of this year are at PLN 610 million (-3.3% y/y), and EBITDA is at PLN 10 million (-41.0% y/y). A negative impact of the result of the Segment came from the steel business (-$17 million in the first half of 2025). This is the result of imports of cheap steel from Ukraine and China and low demand in the European market. Other companies of the segment reported revenue increases, driven by increased sales volumes and favourable conditions in the underlying raw materials market.
The Circular Economy segment recorded a 9.0% increase in revenue compared to the same period last year, reaching PLN 118 million in the second quarter of this year. EBITDA was up 44.4% y/y to PLN 21 million. Operations of Baterpol S.A. had a key impact on the improved result, mainly due to an increase in lead sales volumes and higher throughput margins.
The Energy segment generated PLN 150 million in revenue and a stable PLN 4 million in EBITDA.
Management sees these results as good, despite the difficult economic realities. In the dynamically changing legislative and geopolitical environment of recent months, we have taken decisive action, publishing the revision of our strategy in June and setting ambitious new goals. As a result, the Group is even better positioned to take full advantage of emerging market opportunities and build sustainable competitive advantages – both in the automotive sector as well as in the metal and special manufacturing sectors. – said Wojciech Kowalczyk, President of the Management Board of Boryszew S.A.
The net result in the second quarter of this year is reduced by PLN 12 million, as a result of deconsolidation of some BAP Group companies. EBITDA, despite the weak macroeconomic environment, is at a satisfactory level of PLN 133 million. Our net debt is under control. – said Radoslaw Szorc, CFO of Boryszew S.A.
After the second quarter of 2025, the Automotive segment accounts for 28.6% of Group’s revenues, the Metals segment generates 49.5%, the Circular Economy segment accounts for 9.6%, and the Energy segment accounts for 12.2%, with the rest of revenues coming the Chemicals segment 3.1% and Other business -3.0%.
