20/03/2020As part of its concerted efforts to improve the natural environment in Poland, Boryszew Group has joined the Programme Council of RE-Source Poland Hub. To inaugurate the cooperation, Boryszew Group’s representatives participated as experts in the conference “Sustainable energy for competitive industry”, which was organised by the Hub on 4th-5th February 2020 in Warsaw.
RE-Source Poland Hub is a Polish platform bringing together corporate clean energy buyers and suppliers. The Hub’s activities focus on creating a better regulatory framework for the development of corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs), educating stakeholders on the benefits of corporate renewable energy sourcing, and providing them with networking opportunities.
The “Sustainable energy for competitive industry” conference opened the calendar of events organised by the Hub on issues of key importance to the industry in Poland. The main focus of the conference programme was educational. It provided a perfect opportunity for corporate offtakers (i.e. energy buyers) to gain a better understanding of CPPAs and their specific features, and to learn more about different types available to choose the most suitable one for their company.
The conference was attended by 200 guests from Poland and abroad.
For Boryszew Group, it was not only an opportunity to share its considerable expertise in renewable energy with others but also to upgrade its knowledge on effective methods of energy cost optimization.
During the conference, the Group was represented by Kornel Koronowski, COO of Boryszew Energy, who participated in the pre-event “Introduction to Corporate PPAs”, a two-hour educational session for energy buyers.
