Boryszew grows in the Ranking of National Champions

Boryszew has soared to an all-time high 4th place among the Top Ten National Champions. This prestigious ranking compiled by Polityka Insight, a leading Polish political and business think tank lists Polish companies with the biggest impact on the country’s economy. Particularly highly rated by the experts were the Company’s strong position in the sector and intensive international expansion.

The common characteristics of national champions is their significance for the national economy in terms of their high contribution to the country’s economic and political potential, and their considerable role in social and economic development. National champions are also highly active in the international arena, have a strong position in their respective sector and tend to invest highly in R&D and innovation.

Apart from the size, the Polityka Insight experts also looked at the company’s productivity, position in the sector, presence on the international market and investment in R&D and innovation. In this year’s Ranking of National Champions, Boryszew moved up to the 4th place, up by another three position against last year. In the Abroad category, the Company was also ranked 4th and in the Processing and Construction category – as high up as 2nd.

“A year ago, we declared that we were not going to rest on our laurels and we would continue to develop those sectors that would move us even higher up in the ranking. We could not be more proud of the fact that this year we have managed to move up another three places against our last year’s result. In addition, we have moved up to the all-time high second place in the Processing and Construction category. This definitely motivates our actions and investment in further development of our product range,” said Piotr Lisiecki, President of Boryszew’s Management Board.

The Ranking of National Champions was compiled based on the 2018 financial performance in several categories. The other companies ranked in the Top Ten National Champions include PKN Orlen, KGHM, Asseco Poland, PGNiG and Polpharma.
