The Management Board of Boryszew S.A. informs that on October 26th, 2011 the Company was informed on the final nomination of Boryszew S.A. Maflow Division in Tychy by Skoda Auto a.s. with the seat in Mlada Boleslav (VW Group) as a supplier of elements of air-conditioned systems for the new platform under the name of MQB.
The start of production is planned for March 2012 and termination – for 2018.
The estimated value of the contract in this period will have amounted EUR 64 m.
The framework agreement with VW Group provides the possibility of charging essential penalties concerning quality and timing of supplies.
Additionally on October 26th, 2011 the Company was informed on the final nomination of Boryszew S.A. Maflow Division in Tychy by Bentley Motors with the seat in Great Britain (VW Group) as a supplier for the project BY621 – model Bentley Continental.
The estimated value of the contract in the period 2012 – 2019 will have amounted EUR 1.3 m.
Total value of contract with Volkswagen Group concluded during the last 12 months by Boryszew Group has been estimated by the Issuer for EUR 112 m.
Criterion to recognize the agreement (contract) as important is the total value of contracts on suppliers to VW Group, exceeding 10 % of sale incomes of Boryszew Capital Group.
MQB is a new, highly technologically advanced platform for such cars models as, among others: VW Golf, Skoda Octavia, Audi A3.
During nearest future over 30 models of compact cars will be produced on the MQB base
in the whole VW concern.
Thanks to the nomination to the MQB platform, Boryszew Group/Maflow has become the active participant of the technological progress in the automotive sector on the highest global level.
